I just wanted to thank you so much for your help! When I contacted you I was in a mild state of panic with my son’s father going away on holiday for six weeks. I can honestly say that thanks to you I actually enjoyed the six weeks with my son!

Other than a few relatively mild ‘grumpy bits’ we’re all still in one piece and all still smiling, laughing, and talking to each other.

The action plans you were able to share have certainly helped this parent relax and be a better parent!"

Mrs S.

"A little sceptical about the benefits of coaching, I’m thrilled that I now believe in myself like never before. Stuart taught me simple but effective skills, helping me parent effectively and understand the changes my children are going through.

He also helped me to accept and overcome some hurtful parts of my past. No longer will they hold me back – I am ready to be the best I can be!

The strength and confidence I have gained through working with Stuart is incredible. I’m now a cheerful, kind and warm person with the ability to tackle anything."

Ms M.

"I was apprehensive to share my personal life challenges, but Stuart has helped me become a much better person. I learnt to trust myself, to have a positive attitude and be honest about situations I was in.

In letting go of things I needn’t worry about, Stuart has been my guide. He has great words of inspiration, motivation and wisdom. He made no decision for me - I did that part myself!

Stuart has this great sunny, bubbly personality with a fantastic sense of humour which makes it so easy to talk with him. Thanks heaps!"

Miss W.

"Thank you for helping us learn new skills to parent our children in a more positive and proactive way.

I know ODD [Oppositional Defiant Disorder]… is a label a lot of children are being given by medical practitioners. If parents of children labelled with ODD or ADD [Attention Deficit Disorder] were given these skills, there would be many more families with happy parents and happy children. Idealistic, but true.

Even though I’m still absorbing the material, I can honestly say I feel empowered to coach my daughter through this turbulent time in her life. Not only has it removed some of the confrontation but we are now working together - not against each other. The best part of the Parent as Coach material is that it’s a life skill we can use with the whole family and in our workplace.

Our new life skills are invaluable. Thank you for helping us become better parents and better people. You rock!"

Mrs V.

"Awesome workshop. Made me stop, think and refocus! Your enthusiastic energy Stuart really creates a dynamic workshop. Thank you so much for your time."
Mrs S.

"Most of all I've gained a sense of control. It's my life and I can say 'No' nicely to people if I choose."

Mrs L.

"Stuart simply changed the direction my life was going. As a previous work-a-holic I could see some warning signs reappearing and I was concerned. Stuart, through a series of questions and techniques, cut straight to the root of my problem (or I prefer to call them opportunities) and gave me valuable insight. By clearing the clutter of everyday pressures from home, work, community and my own self I have been able to cement a firmer core wellbeing. This in turn has enabled me to better cope with challenges that even just a few short weeks ago would have sent me into a tail spin. Instead I can prioritise and do what I know to be right because I CHOOSE to, not through some ill-founded sense of ‘should’ or ‘must’. I recommend Stuart to anyone who currently has a pulse if they are serious about getting more out of life and finding their core wellbeing."
Mr M.

"This process gave me the opportunity to reassess everything, understand myself and others more, and make the necessary changes for a happier and more balanced life. The tools provided allow you to continue to assess and make changes, even after the completion of the programme."
Miss R.

"I found Stuart's programme excellent. The exercises helped me gain new insight into who, and where, I want to be in my life. I have already recommended Stuart to my friends."
Mrs E.

Stuart’s coaching showed me that I could choose the life I wanted and helped me focus on what it was that I did want.  I’m so much happier – it’s amazing!”
Mrs W.

"Stuart helped me become more self-aware which in turn has made me more aware of the choices I make and the actions I take. It is nice to be told "It's your life - enjoy!"
Mrs S.

“I really enjoyed working with Stuart. His warmth, sincerity and commitment to assisting others to make changes in their lives made the process easy!”
Miss J.

speaking : event organisers

Stuart captures the audience’s attention! Whether he speaks to 20 or 200, you can see how focussed and tuned-in both students and parents are. The feedback from our parents is very positive and they want more of his material!

Jane Dickie, Counsellor, Villa Maria College

Thank you for your valuable session with our Year 12 and 13 students. The way you kept 31 senior students engaged, interested and thinking for two hours was impressive, as was how you got them into groups and moving in the limited space available.

Your manner was very approachable yet professional, making the students feel secure enough to share their answers.

Kirstyn Trainor, Careers Adviser, Westland High School

Thank you Stuart for your interactive and energetic presentation to our members. You showed a refreshing approach to training and provided practical examples, tools and an insight into the teenage mind.

NZ Association of Training and Development, Canterbury Branch

Stuart’s session on personal values captivated ... with his entertaining and easy to watch style that had his audience hanging on every word. He challenged the audience with clever questions and had the participants thinking about his session long after they had left the venue.

I would strongly recommend working with Stuart for motivation, entertainment and personal coaching.

Edward Cook, Youth Forum Organiser, Scouting New Zealand

Stuart is a stunning MC. He was the glue that pasted the entire conference together. His preparation, energy and commitment to the job was outstanding. Using humour combined with short and snappy intros and thank yous, Stuart kept the conference moving, maintaining the positive spirit of the conference. We'll have him back next year! Thanks.

Karen Boyes, CEO Spectrum Education, NZ Business Woman of the Year 2001

As organiser of the HR Summit 2005, I invited Stuart to act as MC for our 2-day Auckland conference in July 2005.

As MC, Stuart was the perfect combination - entertaining, informative and he helped the conference become an interactive forum, which enabled the delegates to enhance their conference experience.

I would recommend Stuart time and again, and will definitely be using him again for future conferences.

Helen Cartwright, National Conference Manager, Key Media (Sydney)

A huge THANK YOU for taking the Auckland members of the National Speakers Association through the pitfalls and punchlines of MCing. You were awesome, informative, funny... and your willingness to share information about your particular areas of skill was generous and delightful. Thank you.

Maria Carlton, immediate past-president, NSANZ Auckland

Stuart Fleming was the guest speaker for the inaugural meeting of our Community of Practice for Administrators at the University of Canterbury.  He undertook team building exercises with community members to assist with networking and relationship building.

Stuart’s enthusiasm and humour were infectious. He demonstrates his passion and commitment for what he practices.

Lee Barber, Community Co-Ordinator, University of Canterbury

The all-day workshop was to cater for women throughout the Department of varying ages, ethnicities and positions of employment, including management.

Given the nature of the group... Stuart showed great flexibility and professionalism in keeping interest and levels of enthusiasm at a constant... he challenged thinking during the sessions with the provision of tools to carry this thinking into other facets of daily life.

Feedback received has been overwhelmingly positive, with hopes that similar workshops of this nature could be carried in the future.

I would highly recommend that for the purposes of staff development and coaching that Stuart and the team from Stride (NZ) Ltd would be more than capable in providing advice and a professional response to terms of reference presented.

Ilana Batchelor, Canterbury/Southern Regional Office Women's Network Facilitator, Canterbury Conservancy, Department of Conservation

...I have attended many such sessions as an umpire myself. None were as good as what I observed Stuart run for over two hours on that Sunday morning. Stuart was bright, informative and had the group eating out of his hand. I earn my living as an education professional, as does my assistant in running this group. In discussion with David after Stuart left we both felt that not only had we learnt new skills ourselves as umpires, but also new skills as educators in observing Stuart’s performance.

...Stuart Fleming comes with my personal recommendation as an ideal facilitator and role model... He is someone we would and intend to invite back to work with our umpires again without reservation.

Jeremy Busby, Regional Training Officer, Canterbury Cricket Umpires Association

Your obvious energy and enthusiasm was an ideal match for the two-day Summit. I'm sure the participants will long remember what type of chocolate they are at work, and just how many balls they are juggling!

Stuart, we appreciate your creativity in presenting this session, and the chocolate. Thank you for making the Southern Secretarial Summit a roaring success.

Robyn Bennett, Director, Team Link Training Ltd

Stuart was so natural with his wit, humour and gentle but firm presence that he proved to be one of the best Master of Ceremonies we have had in what is now twelve Forums.

Gordon Jackson, General Manager, Johnson and Johnson New Leaders Foundation

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your excellent performance when speaking at our Business Link Breakfast.

It was an enlightening presentation you gave on 'Success and Chocolate' that allowed for some great audience participation. We received excellent feedback from Business Link members following the speech with a positive outcome.

Chris Sefton, Managing Director, The Internet Business Development Group

The presentation was extremely well-presented, being both entertaining and informative, and was well received by members and staff alike.

Lauren Parsons, Customer Services Manager, Pro-Fitness

Your topic got our members thinking about what activities fill their day, and which do not use their time effectively. The way you used juggle balls to illustrate where their attention should be was very entertaining.

Lorraine Logan, Lions Club of Christchurch Garden City

Our members enjoyed your subject and presentation and judging by some of the questions at the end were intrigued by your message.

Robin Brown, Rotary Club of Rangiora

You had everyone completely focused on your message, which you delivered in a fun and amusing style which further ensured your success with our group.

Of particular pleasure was the way you weaved in the Oktoberfest theme, well done.

Martz Witty, SWAP Club of Christchurch

All involved (Census management, processing staff and guests) highly enjoyed Stuart's speech. We thank him for helping to make the evening a memorable one.

Gillian Rogal, Census Processing 2001

  • I had been thinking the way my son was acting was wrong, but now realise it is perfectly 'normal' and other parents are going through exactly the same thing. Changing the way I communicate is changing our relationship for the better. I can't thank you enough!
    Anne - Christchurch

  • Your presentation at the Southern Secretarial Summit made a life changing impact for me. My personal values are important and becoming cemented. My husband tells me he could see them as part of me already, but I just didn't see them myself.
